“Love the plans! I got the garden box plan bundle and it is great when it comes to the measurements for the wood. One thing I believe is missing is a general idea on what weight of concrete bag to use to get multiples of the size of forms I’m making so that I won’t have concrete left over. Just adding a simple chart with weight of bags and how much of each form a bag fills (partials or whole), would suffice.”

“The directions & drawings were perfect. The only thing I would add is a parts list at the end, so you can take it to the store. That way you don’t need to read through the document to create an itemized list. I like the idea so much that I created another version out of plate steel. It’s a good bit heavier that the wood, so I guess it’s not for everyone. I just knew I would be making dozens of casts, and didn’t have faith that the wood would hold up.”

“I am very happy with the plans and already decided this was what I want over my patio. I didn’t get to my favorite saw mill for lumber yet. I will probably be using hemlock since that is what he primarily cuts. I am hoping to increase the footprint for the posts and would consider enlarging the entire thing for a 12 – 13 foot distance between posts instead of 10. This will just be to close on my patio. So much good information on these plans! I have learned a great deal about different things and refreshed my mind on some of the things I haven’t used in such a long time. Chomping at the bit to get started! Please get back to me if you can help me with any info on increasing the footprint! I have already used your design for the pergola to assist me in making a smaller version to support a swing in the back yard that we just love. I have a little landscaping to do around it yet, but so nice! Thank you for your well thought out designs!”

“As a contractor with over 40+ years of building experience myself, I must say, I am impressed with your build of this greenhouse. You’ve done an excellent job, and for a small greenhouse, it is not only very well built, it’s beautiful as well. Your use of lap joints, dado’s, handmade louvered vents, and all the other building methods used, including the use of stops and such, even the hand made forms for pouring the concrete foundation, would make anyone believe you were an experienced master builder. In this build, I see better building methods being utilized than in most of the homes today that people actually live in. End result is a gorgeous, functional greenhouse that will last for many years. Great job!”
